Growing up in a home shaped by unhealed trauma, I was told I’d never amount to anything—and I believed it. Abuse, rejection, and survival defined my early years, leading to foster care at age 14 and a decade of searching for solace in all the wrong places. Married by the age of 25, and when my my marriage ended 10 years later, I found myself a single parent unknowingly carrying the same trauma that had shaped my childhood.

Though I was active in the church, I quickly discovered that some baggage was to remain upspoken in church spaces. I buried my pain in ministry work, believing service would substitute healing. But deep down, I knew God wanted more for me—and from me.

That turning point came when I encountered Healing the Wounds of Trauma training through World Impact. In those six sessions, I finally recognized the weight I’d carried for over 40 years. It was more than salvation I needed—I needed heart healing.

Now, as a Pastor, Certified Trauma Healing Facilitator, and Peer Recovery Supporter, I provide safe spaces—virtually, in-person, and in prisons—where people can begin to unpack their pain, confront their stories, and experience true healing through Jesus Christ. I believe we must not only serve the victims but also reach the victimizers, because all people are made in the image of God and worthy of restoration.

Faith without action is dead. That’s why I’ve committed my life to supporting others experience the healing power of Christ—body, soul, and spirit.
